The Show Tech wrapping paper is light in weight and absorbent.
Made from Japanese rice paper, the wrapping paper is particularly suitable for the face and body. For the legs we recommend the use of Show Tech plastic wraps. The advantage of wrapping paper is that the hair can still breathe well when it is wrapped up, thus promoting growth. However, there are dogs who like to nibble on paper, then you should also use plastic wraps for the body area.
There are many videos on the Internet on how to wrap a dog’s coat. It is important to section the hair correctly, to fold the wraps so that there are no sharp edges and to fix the wrapping paper with 2 wrapping bands. If one band breaks so that the paper does not fall off. It is best to wrap straight after the bath. You don’t have to put a special product on the coat first, but we recommend the Efalock coat sectioning clips. With these colourful clips you can section the coat and work your way strand by strand. After 1-2 days you take the wraps off. Then generously spray the coat with a conditioning spray, e.g. Iv San Bernard Caviar Mix Nutritive, spray in, brush well, section again and re-wrap.
Only if the hair feels very dry we recommend adding a cream, e.g. apply Iv San Bernard K100 coconut palm oil coat wrapping cream to the hair.
It takes some practice to correctly place the wraps and, above all, time for your dog to get used to it. It is best to start wrapping your dog in only 1-2 places on the body at the age of about 6 months and increase the number of wraps weekly until the entire coat can be wrapped as shown in the photo.
