The Yento Prime scissor curved is perfect for all pet body curves.
The crown of the head, the tail of a poodle, or the angulation of a bichon’s head are much easier to shape with curved scissors. The rounder or the more angulation is required, the easier it is with curved scissors.
Made from casted 440C Japan steel. A popular and commonly used steel for the manufacture of premium grooming shears. The high-quality steel offers sharper edges and the scissors are more resistant to corrosion. Due to their sharp blades, muscles and hands are not strained and you can work faster.
The handle shape type is classic, which means the two scissor eyes are parallel to each other. This is the oldest design and is particularly suitable for curved scissors, so that the scissors can be used from both sides. This type of handle is easy to use, even for the inexperienced. The rubber rings in the scissor eyes reduce the formation of painful blisters. The small spacer button between the two scissor eyes cushions the collision of the rings.
The scissor blades are ground semi-convex. This is a grinding technique between convex and bevelled edge. The edge is not as square cut as the bevelled edge, but squarer than a convex blade. This has the advantage that you can use the scissors longer without having them sharpened.
The scissor blades are held together by an easily adjustable knob. The manufacturer has already optimally set each scissor tension before shipping. We recommend only adjusting the screw if you know exactly what you are doing. Perfect performance is only possible if the scissor blades are correctly adjusted.
Scissors that are used regularly must also be oiled regularly. Preferably before and after each use. Best done with the Show Tech Scissor Oil, which was specially developed for grooming scissors.
Scissor length: approx. 17.8 cm
Cutting length: approx. 8.7 cm
Supplied in a protective zippered scissor bag. We recommend keeping the scissor in the bag and generally not storing several scissors on top of each other in one bag. This could damage the blades.
You should only trim clean coats. Otherwise the cutting blades may become blunt and the cutting performance may decrease.
Important note:
The manufacture has reduced the warranty on shears and blades to 14 days only. This is because a lot can happen to break the scissors. For example, the shear may fall, it might be used on very dirty coats (sand and dirt is not ok for shears), the shear is used incorrectly by pushing too hard.
